Donor Specialist

Job Description

The Donor Specialist is responsible for assisting the Director of Fundraising with planning and leading Masjid Al Fatima (SA)’s Fundraising Program. This includes managing an individual portfolio of current and prospective donors through identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.

Responsibilities

  • Models Islamic character and professionally represent the Masjid Al Fatima (SA) brand.
  • Support implementation of annual fundraising plan and goals.
  • Develops a plan to actively manage a portfolio of prospects, including self-directed research, come up with a communication strategy with an emphasis on personal interactions with prospects and donors, and gift solicitations.
  • Work with staff and volunteers to identify and develop new major donors.
  • Effectively manage the organization’s relationships with a portfolio of individual major donors through daily interactions, including written correspondence, phone calls, video chats, and in-person visits and events when safe to do so.
  • Maintains accurate records of donors through timely updates to donor database, including new record creation, contact reports, update contact information, donation processing, and other relevant information.
  • Contribute to strategies for retention of current major gift donors.
  • Make presentations and present proposals to prospects/donors for funding.
  • Create Develops creative digital, online, and print communications for use in stewardship email
  • Assist in the preparation of donor communication.
  • Supports the Fund Raising Committee in planning and implementing fundraisers,

Requirements

  • Graduate or post-graduate;
  • Secondary Education will be considered if the candidate has relevant experience and a proven track record
  • Fundraising certificates or degrees are preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office, experience in Google Suite and CRM software will be an advantage.
  • Two to three years of relevant work experience in the field of Donor Management, Fundraising
  • Fluent in English, fluency in Arabic will be considered as an asset.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Working evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Demonstrated track record of creating meaningful points of engagement for donors.
  • Strong writing and public speaking skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize time and accurately complete multiple varied tasks.
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of donor information.

Job Description

We are looking for a personable individual with excellent written and oral communication skills. The successful applicant will be responsible for handling the telephones, all incoming and outgoing mail, and assembly of customer documents, filing, archiving, accounts receivable, accounts payable, office supply purchases, and other administrative duties.

 

Responsibilities

  • Supports Masjid Al Fatima (SA)’s operations by maintaining office systems and supervising staff.
  • Maintains office services by organizing office operations and procedures, preparing payroll, controlling correspondence, designing filing systems
  • Provides historical reference by defining procedures for retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of records.
  • Implements office policies by establishing standards and procedures, measuring results against standards, and making necessary adjustments.
  • Keeps management informed by reviewing and analyzing special reports, summarizing information, and identifying trends.
  • Manages agendas/travel arrangements/appointments etc. for the management
  • Manages phone calls and correspondence (e-mail, letters, packages, etc.)
  • Supports budgeting and bookkeeping procedures
  • Creates and update records and databases with personnel, financial and other data
  • Answers and routes phone calls
  • Tracks stocks of office supplies and place orders when necessary
  • Submits timely reports and prepare presentations/proposals as assigned
